Meet at the Prairie Shelter – Nelson Dewey State Park
Wisconsin’s prairies are an important part of our region’s natural heritage. Learn what makes them special and why they are in need of conservation. Join the naturalist for a brief talk on prairie ecology, followed by a hike on
the beautiful Prairie Trail. We’ll identify some of the flowers that are in bloom and relate interesting features of their natural history.
This program is made possible by the Friends of Nelson Dewey State Park and the Friends of Wisconsin State Parks.
