Nestled at the mouth of Jack Oak Slough, just off the main channel of the Mississippi River. Our unique location on the river offers a variety of scenic views, from eagles, sandhill cranes, and otters, to massive barges, historic river ferries, and speedboats. In the surrounding area, you will find historic sites like Indigenous peoples burial mounds, Stonefield Village, and Nelson Dewy State park. The State Parks and land preserves offer plenty of great trails for everything from hiking & cross-country skiing to ATV & snowmobiles. The area has many breathtaking river valley views, meadows with class 1-A trout streams, and let’s not forget the great Mississippi River where you can enjoy some of the states best bass and walleye fishing, as well as tube and ski and the calm back channels.
